Vivo unveiled its latest self-developed imaging V3 chip,Seventeen (2019) which brings a 30% increase in energy efficiency compared to its predecessor V2. The V3 is a 6nm customized chip that incorporates the latest algorithm technology, featuring the 4K cinema-quality portrait mode, as claimed by the company during its 2023 Vivo Imaging Conference on July 30. Notably, users can edit videos without loss after shooting and adjust blur and focus positions to achieve a cinematic effect. For Vivo’s upcoming X series flagship model, the new ZEISS T* Coating equipped with Multi-ALD technology enhances image clarity by reducing lens reflectivity. The industry speculates that the V3 chip will be available on the next-generation X series flagship model, the Vivo X100 series, which is expected to debut at the end of this year.
