Participants at the gathering, which took place at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto and was organised by the Next Einstein initiative, were provided big white wigs and moustaches.

However, the convention wasn't just to break a world record. It also kicked off this year's Next Einstein competition, which offers $10,000 in cash for an idea that will “make the world a better place.”
