During a recent lecture at Bao’an Middle School in Shenzhen,Japan Archives China, Chairman of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group Yu Chengdong pulled a Huawei Mate 70 smartphone out of his pocket, claiming it features 100% domestically produced chips. Huawei released the Mate 70 series on Nov. 26, with the Pro models debuting the new generation Kirin 9020 chip. Last week, Huawei Terminal Business Group CEO He Gang revealed that pre-orders for the Mate 70 series have surpassed 6.7 million, and the supply chain team is working overtime.
