The factory is located in Beijing E-Town, a national level economic and technical development zone, the report said. Xiaomi plans to construct its factory in two phases, with the first phase starting in April 2022, covering an area of nearly 720,000 square meters. Phase two is expected to commence in 2024 and finish by 2025, according to the report. The four manufacturing facilities and one testing facility established in the first phase can carry out stamping, welding, painting, and battery assembly.
